From Gold Rings To Plastic Rings...

In 1985 Doug MacKenzie, grandson of the late J. Alex MacKenzie, followed in his grandfather's footsteps and made his own dream become a reality. At this time MacKenzie Plumbing & Heating was born. MacKenzie Plumbing & Heating (1989) Ltd. was initially formed in the year 1985. The company was staffed by two employees, whose main focus was commercial service, residential service, and commercial contracting. Today we have a staff of over 40 employees, comprised of a wide variety of expertise in the mechanical industry. Our focus and quality of work has not varied. We are committed to improving all areas of our business as we grow and gaining valuable experience.

We are continually upgrading and educating our staff through training courses and manufacturer correspondence to ensure our people are supplying the best products and knowledge to all our customers.

Doug has great respect and admiration for his late grandfather's business vision and philosophy, which he has incorporated into his own company.

MacKenzie History

Mr.J. Alex MacKenzie got his first look at Regina in 1919 when he opened a branch office of the Consolidated Optical Co. He liked Regina and felt optimistic about the future of the Queen City.

On April 18,1928,Mr. MacKenzie turned a dream into reality when he opened a jewelry store bearing his family name. With the help of his wife and sons, Don and Jack, (who became active partners in 1935) the hard times were faced and surmounted by the MacKenzie family spirit.

The image that the MacKenzie symbol means to convey is quite simple. The base implies stability. The ribbon effect can be interpreted as the letter M, as a crown, or as a ribbon suggesting gains for loved ones. The diamond at the apex implies precious things and provides an identifier with the MacKenzie name.
